What To Expect Featured
When it comes to roof installation and repairs, we have a great deal of experience working with all sorts of homeowners; and we have no doubt what our clients expect from the roofing process.
Transparency
After meeting with us, the first thing clients can expect is to see our business credentials. We are always prepared to show our NRCA and other organization credentials, as well as liability insurance coverage, workers’ compensation certificates, and general contractors license. We are fortunate to have a list of previous clients who have graciously volunteered to act as references and are willing to speak to prospective clients about their experience and how the work and product have held up over time.
Before the actual work begins, we try our best to keep you informed upfront about the process and what to expect. A basic outline of the process from start to finish has been extremely helpful for both the homeowner and our team. Even though we explain the timeline and roofing process in a step-by-step fashion before the work begins, our clients always appreciate a check list of sort to refer back to. It looks something like this:
1. Contract signing, product ordering, scheduling the installation
2. Delivery of materials
3. Arrival and introductions to Project Manager and Installers
4. Removal of old roofing
5. Assessment of decking and damage repairs
6. “Blacking-in” roof—underlayments
7. Installation of shingles, ventilation, and other system components
8. Clean-up
We've found that a simple meeting or email goes a long way toward building a positive relationship with our homeowners and setting their minds at ease about the large-scale process about to take place at their home.
Professionalism
This normally goes without saying but maintaining a professional relationship with our homeowners is an essential part of our process. Once our clients have established a relationship with us and have seen our working credentials, they should trust us to carry out a high-quality roof installation or repair. We make sure all our team are properly trained and take the time to complete the job correctly. We help eliminate the possibility of mistakes by educating our employees, keeping them up to date on any material and process changes, and working together to mitigate the risk of human oversight or accidents.
Cleanliness
Although clean-up is listed in the process outline, we reiterate it to our team that a clean and tidy workplace is expected both during and after the job. For debris and other unavoidable messes, we utilize a dumpster or truck for this purpose and tidy up throughout the day.
Friendliness
Last, but certainly not least, is friendliness. Although we don’t have to become best friends with our clients, it is important to us that we maintain a positive relationship throughout the process.
